The written word
I've been thinking more and more about writing short stories on a regular basis. It's been a hit or miss proposition that depends on the mood I'm in.
Well now, that sounds to me like a sorry excuse and I thinks it's time to change my attitude and approach. Because my past experiences have been unique in so many ways, like the time I got locked in Arlington Cemetery, for example, I have lots of fodder to call on.
So what really drives my creativity? My imagination can rustle up all kinds of events and situations and that, combined with a lifelong love of words, should make for some interesting tales.
I've read lots about the writing process and the dedication one needs to be prolific and by inference better. What I still need to figure out is how serious I am about writing short stories or any type of prose, for that matter.
As a first step, maybe I really should learn how to type.
Carpe Diem!
